The latest update of Sendapp Desktop introduces a powerful new feature designed to boost your marketing efficiency: Automatic Subscription via WhatsApp. With this function, users can subscribe to your promotional messages by simply sending a keyword, making your contact acquisition faster, safer, and fully GDPR-compliant.

This automation also helps protect your account from being flagged, as users explicitly opt-in to receive your campaigns.

1. Enable Automatic Subscription

To begin, open Sendapp Desktop and follow these steps:

  • Click on the Contacts section (second icon from the top).
  • On the right of the “Optimize” button, you’ll find the new Automatic Subscription button.
  • Click to open the configuration window, where you will see two essential fields.

2. Set Up Automated Messages

In this section, you will configure the trigger and the confirmation message:

  • Keyword field:
    Enter the keyword customers must send to subscribe.
    Example: subscribe.
  • Auto-response message:
    Write the confirmation message that will be automatically sent once the customer subscribes.
    Example: Thank you! You've successfully subscribed to our promotions.

3. Create a Click-to-Chat Link

To invite new users to join, generate a personalized Click-to-Chat link that can be shared across platforms like social media, SMS, or email.

  • Navigate to the Click-to-Chat section (seventh icon in the main menu).
  • Fill in the required details:
  • Phone Number: Include the international prefix.
  • Pre-filled Message:
    Example:
    I would like to subscribe to your promotions and consent to the use of my personal data in accordance with GDPR.

Once created, share your unique Sendapp Click-to-Chat link on your preferred communication channels. When clicked, it will:

  1. Open a WhatsApp chat with your number.
  2. Autofill the message.
  3. Require only one tap from the user to join your list.

4. Manage Subscribed Contacts

When a customer sends the keyword, they are automatically added to a new contact group called Subscribe Contacts. You can access and manage this list from your Sendapp dashboard.

This feature allows you to organize your audience, personalize follow-ups, and streamline your WhatsApp marketing strategy efficiently.
